You need to educate yourself and seek care from fertility specialists. It is also important that you start as early as possible. Let&#8217;s take a deeper look at the introduction to PCOS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-getting-pregnant-with-pcos-but-what-is-it\"><strong>Getting pregnant with PCOS, but what is it?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/myfertilitycloud.com\/blog\/what-is-pcos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PCOS<\/a>, as the name implies, is a syndrome, a collection of symptoms.&nbsp;These symptoms vary between individuals.&nbsp; Your reproductive endocrinologist specialist (REI) will conduct a thorough health history review and order hormone analysis that can help with a diagnosis.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The three features of PCOS are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>High levels of \u201cmale\u201d sex hormones, such as testosterone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A large number of immature ovarian follicles (fluid-filled sacs that develop and release eggs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Irregular <a href=\"https:\/\/myfertilitycloud.com\/blog\/understanding-menstrual-cycle-written-by-a-fertility-specialist\">menstrual cycles<\/a> (typically less than 10 per year)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have two out of three, yes you do have PCOS. Moreover, 70% of people with PCOS are either misdiagnosed or undiagnosed. So you may suspect you have PCOS, but still not know for sure. Your cells are not responding normally to insulin which leads to its <strong>high levels of insulin<\/strong>. It\u2019s called insulin resistance. Insulin controls how food is changed into energy. As a result of resistance, your insulin blood levels become higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Insulin resistance can also lead to<strong> high levels of androgens <\/strong>(male hormones) can prevent the ovaries from releasing an egg during each menstrual cycle, also causing extra hair growth and acne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Chances of Getting Pregnant with PCOS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a common condition that affects a woman&#8217;s hormone levels, menstrual cycle, and ability to conceive. Many women with PCOS wonder about their chances of getting pregnant.
